Hello, I am a resident of middle East. The past few decades some people thousands of miles away decided that they could make money out of me. They stole land from us and forced millions of our people to relocate (e.g. Palestenians). Since the last few decades they support, fund, and provide political cover for executions and genocides around the place (e.g. kurds, palestenians). They try to keep a firm grip on world power by controlling our oil supplies. They seem to make billions of dollars out of our oil while we keep starving. They even feel generous that they send us drugs (expired ones ofcourse, because they are considered toxic waste and their destruction is much more expensive than their transportation to another toxic-waste-dump-country). Why should i put up with them oh lord? My life means nothing. I cant feed my children, my children died in bombings of civilian camps (e.g. Israelis, backed by US, bombing anything with two legs that doesn't look like Israeli). Why should i put up with them oh lord? They only desire power and money, and they will not stop untill I die. I am unable to plea for help, all my pleas are discarded into the voice, all my peace calls are ignored (e.g. palestenians, YES. didn't you know they even accepted US demands, but NO-ONE listened to them. Dear Zilla,

I think the world has had some time to reflect over the catastrophic disaster of 11 sept -01 which has had such an enormous impact on all of our lives across the entire globe. I do not condone and in fact positively despise the actions of the terrorists who have committed this crime against humanity; however I feel that there are a few aspects of this war that have not been considered in enough detail. I would like to point them out so that people may take some time to reflect on a few new thoughts if you feel that my email is worthy of publication.

It is my considered opinion that this war started a very long time ago. It is a war that has developed between the developed world as a whole, and the Middle East. I am not going to differentiate between different countries in the developed world as they are all to blame equally for the situation that has transpired over the years.

You will notice that the developed world only ever chooses to use its international powers when there is a situation that can have a serious impact on itself. Let us take for example the Gulf War. We are totally reliant on petrol and oil, and as a result we chose en-masse to defend our greatest source of this fuel. On the other hand, in the matter of the Chinese invading Tibet (who were thoroughly undeserving of their eventual fate) we seem to have overlooked a few basic human rights principals and decided not to get involved. The Tibetans are still suffering at the hands of the Chinese, and they could be described as the most peaceful nation on this planet. We have decided that it is none of our business. But was the Gulf War any of our business in that case?

At the end of World War II as there was nowhere for the desolated Jews to take refuge, we decided to create a country for them. So we created Israel. It was a great Idea; the only problem is that we had to take the land from somewhere. We decided to cut up Palestine, a country inhabited by Moslems, and Name half of it Israel. We then dumped the Jews in Israel and told them to get on with things. This is possibly one of the biggest mistakes we made that bears relation to our current problems. The Israelis have pushed back the borders of their country over the years and invaded Palestinian land having no consideration for them whatsoever. They have, more recently, instigated massive attacks on innocent Palestinians… This is a war that has been going on for many many years.

‘We‘ do not seem to able to do anything about this. We hear reports of Palestinian terrorism in Israel, but is it not their only way of fighting back? I think ‘we’ should grab the bull by the horns and fix this problem to the satisfaction of both the Israelis and the Middle East, as is they who have been affronted by our prior arrogance and supposition.

I am not a religious person, in fact I am if anything an agnostic Christian. I do not believe that this should be viewed as a religious battle, it stems from a mistake that the developed word made many years ago, and antagonism has, as a result, built up between two major world religions. I do see, however that Israel has a great deal of support from The USA, there are many influential people in leading positions who support Israel unconditionally due to their religious bias. Perhaps the balance here should be redressed and rather than support being given to Israel, an unbiased appraisal of the situation in Israel and Palestine could be initiated?

This could bring about an end to the threat we are currently facing from the likes of the sept 11 terrorists. Although what they did was utterly and undeniably wrong and disgusting. I believe that this is the cause of their frustrations. In the capacity of being ‘developed’ races of people, do you not think that the Western world could sort this out? I have no doubt that they can, but it is a question of whether our leaders will take on the responsibility of admitting their mistakes and resolve to correct them for the benefit of the whole world and not their political stances!

I thank you for reading my piece on this matter, and would like to extend my deepest condolences to all those who have been affected by the attack, I am proud to be a part of the developed world and will fight such terrorism to the end. I just hope we can make a few compromises here and there, it could help!

I understand the fact that you are proud of your country. America is
attractive in many ways, and in my job (biological science) this is quite a
good opportunity to go there a few years.
What happened S the 11 was horrible. How many people have died because of
the insanity of a few, who considered that the sacrifice of their own life,
but more importantly the sacrifice of other people, could be justified in
the name of Allah, or for whatever cause they were fighting for. Nothing
justifies a loss of life.
However, I have learned, by interacting with many American, that their
knowledge of what happen outside or American borders is completely unknown.
Every country, having the power of America would have done the same. An eye
for an eye. Very good. Very proud of the power one coutry can display. But
how stupid.
I tell you, Zilla, what will happen. In fact, what is really happening now.
By acting the way USA, UK, France and other countries did after S the 11,
they are completing the cycle of unending violence.
Somewhere, BinLaden is still alife. Children of today in Afganistan, under
the bombs, even if they don't know why they receive them on their head, will
only remember that on them was written "made in America". In 20 years they
will remember that, and the same situation will be reproduced.
After all, look where the airplane landed. Pentagon and WTC. Even if people
inside where innocent -the floor cleaner, the mail man...-, this is the sign
of something. They didn't land the airplane on a local Black supermarket, or
on the flower shop et the corner.
They land precisely on the WTC, where people, every day, from every
countries, where trying to reduce the third world to a simple slave country,
where goods are cheaper to produce (you don't have to pay an third world
child as much as you pay an American worker, and the third world do not have
Unions). Why do you think Nike and Reebok shoes are made in Asia?
They land on the Pentagon, symbol of their oppression. I don't say that to
destroy it was good or justified, I just try to understand their
motivations.

This is the right moment to think now, and to make sure that this kind of
terrorists will never again find a way to manipulate fools and god-mad
fanatic, and to make them kill thousands of innocent people while
sacrificing themselves.
War will never be the right answer to these attacks. Erase their reason to
fight. Prevent fanatic like Bin Laden to be able to gather soldier from all
over their country. Erase their hate in the so called developped coutries
(they chose America because it was the "most" developped coutry, not just
because they hate you American more than other west coutries).

We have to fight against inequality.

Imagine Bin Laden is a rabbit. If you throw bombs on him he will be scared
and will hide in his hole and breed, hoping one day he will have enough
rabbits to overcome the bombs. Maybe it will hapen.
But, on the other hand, give him food and shelter. He will come out of his
hole, and live happily without hate of his wealthy neigbours who hepled him
to become a little bit more wealthy himself.

Sorry mate, it was long, but inequality is the reason why you had airplanes
on your head on S the 11. So you're proud of the firepower of your
country?..fine. Just pray that your children will not be the next.
I prefer to believe in a country who will not use bomb each time somebody

In 1988, I inspected air craft for an aircraft firm that sent the aircraft to the Gulf. I sais it then and I say it now!!! "We should have finished the job the first time"! Our president orders retaliation and then helps them with food, medicine,housing, etc.! In regards to 'The World Speaks Out'...

Revenge. Will we ever get revenge?

There's not one American who wouldn't want to see bin laden's head on a stick, marched through the streets of New York. But that cowardly bastard hasn't seen the light of day since 9/11, moving from one cave to another.

Bombing Aghganistan is hardly revenge. That God forsaken hell hole looks better after a few blanket bombings.

So where and when will it come? Will we ever be able to sit back and cheer "Take that you sons of bitches"?

We are the USA. With a couple of calls, Mr. Bush could turn the entire middle east into the 51st State. And I encourage him to do so! Starting with Iraq and Saudi Arabia, give those arrogant assholes a taste of red, white, and blue. Gain control of their lunacy leaderships. Trust me the average jallala (Joe) would be happy as shit.
